Mona Delores Van Dyke Obituary
Mona Van Dyke passed away peacefully enroute to her heavenly home on the evening of Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at the age of 92 years old in Hanover, Pennsylvania while visiting her son and family.
Mona was born on 20 October 1932 to Charles F. Bryant and Biddie Bryant (Kesterson) in Fayetteville, WV. She was the oldest daughter, and the 3rd child out of the 10 children in the family. Mona is survived by her brother, Michael Bryant, and sister, Beverly Goodson. Mona is also survived by her two daughters, Joyce Baker of Martinsburg, WV and Judy Pridgen of North Carolina, and her only son, David Baker of Hanover, PA. She had multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mona was a fantastic mother who was dedicated to raising her children. She worked as a doctor's assistant, and for many years in the Restaurant Industry and the Hospitality Industry until 1974. Mona moved to Sequim, Washington in 1976 with her husband, Ralph Van Dyke and her son. She loved Washington State with its scenic beauty and great people, and made it her home for the last 49 years. Mona enjoyed entertaining with her friends, square dancing, and playing bridge becoming a Life Master. She was an Expert Marksman with both the rifle and the handgun, and had taken pilot lessons during her lifetime.
