With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary K. Swartz of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 22, 2025 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Burger and Laura Burger (Smith); and her siblings, James Burger and Frances Broadwell. She is survived by: her husband Earl E. Swartz; her children, Mary Smith (Terry Hayes), Richard Smith (Sara) and Earl Swartz, Jr.; her stepdaughters, Laura Painter, Tonya Bernhard (Ronald) and Monica Kunselman; and her siblings, Loretta Allen (Tim), Johnny Burger (Sharon), Richard Burger (Julie) and Tina Flacke (Steven). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church (1439 Market St, Harrisburg, PA 17103). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
