She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry J Thomas and Dorothy Thomas; her husband Daniel Akra, Sr.; her siblings, James Thomas, Viola Thomas-James, Myrtle Andrews, Doris Williams, Anna Thomas and Evelina Ross; her granddaughter Calista M Curry; and her great grandchild Malik Stern.
She is survived by: her children, Daniel Akra, Jr. (Vicki) of Harrisburg, Samuel Neal Akra, Sr. (Tanya) of Harrisburg, Evelyn R. Walker (Milton) of Sinking Spring, Marva Hume (Robert) of Harrisburg, Nancy Curry of Lancaster and Loretta Folks (Brian) of Harrisburg; and her sister Alice Adcox of Harrisburg.
