She is survived by: her adoptive parents, Christopher Kade, Jo Ann McNaughton-Kade of Effingham and Katie; her siblings, Patrick Mansfield (Anne) of Mahomet, Stephen McNaughton (Ron) of Effingham, Kevin Kade of Effingham, Christopher Kade (Madison) of Oklahoma City, Amanda Kade (Andy) of Tinley Park, Rachel Straubhaar (Nick) of Barneveld, Mary Allison Errek (Jason) of Aurora, Claire Danielle Arthur (Nick) of Effingham, Alexandra Kade of Brownstown, John Joseph Kade (Jeanne) of Denver and Elliott Kade of Kansas City, Missouri.; and her nieces and nephews, Ross Mansfield, Ethan Mansfield, Bryden Kade, Lylah Kade, Hudson Straubhaar, Ava Arthur, Damien Alton, Jude Alton and Alton. She is also survived by her family and friends.

Memorials in her name may be made to the Pennsylvania Coalition To Advance Respect, a domestic violence crisis organization in Harrisburg with which Katie was affiliated as a board member and trainer.
