She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Opatrny and Mary Jane Opatrny. She is survived by: her husband Robert J. Gubanic; her daughter Meri Beth Furlong (Lawrence) of Harrisburg, PA; her grandchildren, Savannah J. Furlong and Liam P. Furlong; her brother Edward Opatrny (Hannah); her sister-in-law Betty Ann Valenta (Valenta); her nephew Edward Valenta; her nieces, Noreen Cortazzo, Christina Achey and Sarah Murrin; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Frank, Nicholas, Cash Cortazzo, Amy, Danielle, Gabrielle Achey, Isabella and Violet Murrin; her godson Theodore Dworek; her close friends, Lisa Ruffing, Mary "Dew" Briggs, Patti Letchford and Brenda Volpe; and also, Frankie, Nico, Luca, Rocco, Matteo Cortazzo, Angelina Cortazzo and Nehemiah Murrin.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made out to Westminster College Marching Band or Boy Scout Troop 10, Harrisburg PA.
