He was predeceased by: his parents, John Schindler and Anna Schindler; his wife Patricia P. Schindler; and his siblings, Paul, Harry, Patricia, Nancy, Betty, John, Robert, Edward, Ella and Jean.
He is survived by: his children, Charles Schindler, Karen Hartman (George) and Kathleen Schindler; his grandsons, Craig Oakley (Stephanie), Nathan Oakley (Mary) and Jeremy Oakley; and his great grandchildren, Raegan, Stevie, Ella and Eve. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's research.
