He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Sr. Dunkle and Anna Dunkle (Zahorian); his siblings, Leonora Race (Richard), Lena Pautz (Eddie), Michael (Nancy), Henry Jr. (Betty), Richard and Paul Dunkle; and his son-in-law Richard Prutsman.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Dunkle (Whiting); his children, Timothy Dunkle of Harrisburg, PA, Diane Root (Michael) of Westfield, PA, John Dunkle of Chicago, IL and Eugene Dunkle (Dan Downs) of Phoenix, AZ; his grandchildren, Damon Prutsman, Felicia D'Andrea (Chaes) and Rachael Barrett (Josh); his great grandchildren, Nathan, Micah, Bella, Emaleigh, Alivia, Isla, Elliott, Kyler, Austyn and Levi; and his sisters-in-law, Maxine and Josefa Dunkle. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
