It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ellen Schmick Nice (Harrisburg, Pennsylvania), who passed away on February 2, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marke Schmick and Zora Schmick (Deibler); her husband James Elwood Nice; and her siblings, Mark Edward Jr., Eugene Schmick, Loretta Shipman and Gloria Steinmeier.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Jennifer (Matt), Phillip (Bea), Jonathan, Andrea, Ellen (Sal), Ann and Christin; and her sister Gerry Emmert (Dennis) of Lititz.
Viewing was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home (2100 Linglestown Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17110). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
