He was predeceased by: his parents, James Z. Hughes and Bertha Mae Hughes (Dodd). He is survived by: his siblings, Faye Hughes, Phyllis K. Chisolm (Nelson), Jairus E. Hughes (Marilyn "Gail") and Aaron Z. Hughes; and his nieces and nephews, Jennifer Shoffner, Aisha Chisolm, Eric Thompson, Avery Thompson of Nelson, J. E and Anthony Chisolm. He is also survived by great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
