Wood of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, born in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 4, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his brother George; his brothers-in-law, Ted Hampilos and Manny Antonakas; and his parents, Peter Wood and Antigone Wood (Chekouras).
He is survived by: his sisters, Gloria Hampilos and Maria Antonakas; his sister-in-law Mary Wood; his children, Peter Wood (Gina) of Columbus, Christopher Chekouras (Jennifer) of Chestertown, Dean Wood (Cynthia) of Hollidaysburg and Jonathan Wood (Colleen) of Medford; and his grandchildren, Ashley, Alexandra (Joe), Kyra, Jared (Kailey), Eli, Isaac (Lydia), Jacob, Natalie and Katina.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
