He was predeceased by: his parents, Kohlman K. Cohle and Elizabeth Cohle (Gorfain); and his sister E. Dorthea "Dolly" Gilliland. He is survived by: his wife Irene Malask; and his children, Edward Cohle (Diane), Ronald Cohle (Coleen), Linda Shultz (Harry) and Sheri Cohle.

Memorial contributions in Abba's honor may be made to the BrightSpring Hospice Foundation, 805 N. Whittington Parkway, Louisville, KY 40222.

“My deepest sympathy for your loss. Abba was such an integral part of the group of friends who years ago met for breakfast at the McDonalds on North Front Street. i never remember him having a bad day and will and have remembered his many stories of his life in the Army in WWII in Burma and of his being part of the bands at the Hershey Park Pavilion. He always had a fascinating story about his family and his life. I was blessed to have known him; my life was the better for it. Jon W. Gardner”
