He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor T. Zakowski, Sr. and Florine Zakowski; and his sister Laureen Hartman. He is survived by: his significant other Carol Chergi Zakowski; and his siblings, Marsha Zakowski and Rodney Zakowski.
