With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James R. Purvis of Harmony, Pennsylvania, born in Koppel, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 3, 2021 at the age of 94. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James R. Purvis to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James R. Purvis and Marion Purvis; his daughter Connie Purvis; and his sister Madilyn McCarthy. He is survived by: his wife Bernice Bintrim Purvis; his son Kenneth Purvis (Caroline); and his grandchildren, Mandy Fox (Heath), Hope Young, Crystal Shultz, Cody and Ryan Purvis. He is also survived by his six great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made in Jim's honor to the Harmony Fire Department, 543 Main St., Harmony, PA 16037 or to Harmony E.M.S., 102 Mennonite Ln., Harmony, PA 16037.
