He was predeceased by: his parent Ira Lamont Cleland; his spouse Velma Jane Bintrim Cleland; his child David Ira Cleland Jr.; and his sibling Donald. He is survived by: his parent Florence Martha Stickel Cleland; his children, Air Force Lieutenant, Cargo Aircraft Pilot, Jennifer Leigh Cleland of Harmony, PA and Matthew Brent Cleland of Tucson, AZ; his siblings, Dale, Marion Weller, Paul, William, Dorothy Cleland, Phyllis Pflug and James Cleland; his daughter-in-law Susan Margaret Maczon Cleland; and also, Alexandra Suarez of Portland, OR, Zachary Suarez and Sonia Green of Portersville, PA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and relatives.
