He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Patterson and Irene Patterson (Fay); his former wife Antoinette Patterson (Polito); and his children, Dennis Patterson and Kathleen Patterson (Varner).

He is survived by: his sons, Gary Patterson (Paulette) and David W. Patterson (Kathleen); and his grandchildren, Alayna, Stephen, Toni Patterson, Bradley, Brett, Amanda Varner and Sheila Cooper.

Donations may be made in David's memory to St. Jude.
