He was predeceased by: his wife A. Louise (Bachofer); his parents, Walter G. Rittler, Sr. and Margaret Rittler (Hobbs); his brother Walter G. Rittler, Jr.; and his parents-in-law, Ferdinand and Ida Bachofer.
He is survived by: his sons, Richard "Rick" (Linda), David (Denise), Curtis (Jennifer) and Paul (Karen); his grandchildren, Kristie Cudmore (Scott) of Elkton, Maryland, Jill Hyson of Lansdale, Amy Mascia of Yardley, Bryan Rittler of Newtown, Justin Rittler of Newtown, Jamie Jackson (Jack) of Mt. Pleasant, Meridith DiStefano (Mark) and Zachary Rittler (Erin) of Lancaster; and his close friend Karen Schauman of Harleysville.
