He was predeceased by: his wife Alice "Lisen" Cardell; and his parents, Edgar Cardell and Lillie Cardell (Stevens). He is survived by: his sons, Richard E. Cardell of Tampa, FL, Edward R. Cardell (Ellen) of Lehighton and J. Steven Cardell (Linda) of Quakertown; his stepchildren, Eric Berg (Diane) of Souderton and Nina Haag (Steve) of Indiana; and his siblings, Carol Thompson (Harry) of Souderton and David Cardell (Renee) of Hawaii. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
