He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew Edward and Mary Ann Johnston (Torrens); and his siblings, Emily McConnell (Robert) and William Johnston. He is survived by: his wife Ethel Elizabeth Johnston (Cooke); his children, Karen Johnston Fleisch (Jerry) of Naples, FL, Matthew D. Johnston (Bonnie) of Chalfont, PA and Stephen Johnston (Lindsay) of Fairfield, CT; his grandchildren, Taylor Copper (Brandon), Lauren Fleisch, Matthew E., Patrick, Nicholas Johnston, Zachary, Christian, Ashley Johnston, Heather Aicher (Gregg) and Danielle Fleisch; his great grandchildren, Ethan, Austin Aicher, Jayden, Jaxson and Aspen Fleisch; and his brother Edward Johnston (Ginny). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
