He is survived by: his wife Gladys G. Knechel (Moyer); his children, Jeryl Knechel (Eileen) of Harleysville, Dean Knechel (Kathleen) of Harleysville, Darryl Knechel (Stacey) of Harleysville, Phyllis Leatherman (Gerald) of Harleysville, Eileen Parmer (Loren) of Harleysville and Gloria Bergey (Lowell) of Hatfield; and his brother Ernest Knechel (Mildred) of Alburtis. He is also survived by 33 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
