He was predeceased by: his parents, Mae Heffernan, (Duffy) and D. Bernard Heffernan, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Mary (Lyons); his children, Daniel, Denise (Joseph Pae), Maureen Carr (Thomas) and Christine; and his grandsons, Thomas (TJ), Zachery, Colin, Evan and Aidan.
