He was predeceased by: his parent Carl Aten. He is survived by: his parent Lillian Grannis Aten; his children, Luke Aten (Marisa Ryon), Ben Aten (Kathryn Ryon), Erich Aten, Matt Aten and Kim (Jeff Smith); his grandchildren, Carolena, Isaac, Lyla, Charley, Zeke and Grant; and his siblings, Elena McAndrew, Tina McGurl, Carl, Melvin, Irvin, Russell, Ronald and Edward.
