He was predeceased by : his parents, Rupert Grant and Myra Tomkins Grant Booth; his former life partner Agnes Potter Grant; his sons, Alan Lee Grant and James Tracy; his brother Albert Grant; and his stepsister Doris Morrison.

He is survived by : his wife Elizabeth Machell; his children, Laurie Jean Grant of Harford, PA, Elizabeth O'Neill of Harford, PA, Matthew Tracy of Harford, PA and Mary Tracy of Harford, PA; his grandchildren, Devin O'Neill, Brianna O'Neill and Kiai O'Neill; his great grandchildren, Audrey, Theodore O'Neill and Penelope Speaker; and his stepsister Helen B. Foster of Susquehanna, PA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
