"Jack" Hill, age 92, of Harborcreek, passed away Friday, May 19, 2017, following a short illness. He was born in Mt. Jewett, Pa. on August 4, 1924, son of the late Clifford (Sr.) and Margaret Hill.

Jack was the second generation owner of Hill's Meat Market in Wesleyville, working there from 1945 until his retirement in 1984. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force in WWII and was an aerial gunner of a B-29, flying 27 missions over Japan.

Jack was an avid golfer and a longtime member of Lawrence Park Golf Course. He had four "holes in one". His true love was spending time with his family. His hobbies included working part time throughout his retirement at Hill's Market socializing with his many friends. He had a great sense of humor, loved to laugh, play pinochle, trout fish and eat a good meal. Jack was a member of the Wesleyville Baptist Church, the Tyrian Lodge #362 F.&A.M., East Erie Moose Club, and was one of the oldest members of the American Legion Carl Neff Post 571.

Jack is survived by his wife of 72 years, Claire Briggs Hill; one daughter, Barbara Kuzma (Greg); two sons, Craig Hill (Joan) and Don Hill (Cindi); six grandchildren, Jacquelyn Kuzma (Michael Schultz), Mark Kuzma, Patricia Boyle (Alex), Steven Hill, Sam Hill (Kathy), and Nick Hill (Wei Ming); and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three sisters; Betty Brine, Lois Sieberkrob, Norma Herrick and an infant brother, Ronald.

A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date by the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd.
