It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter J. Porowski of Hanover, Pennsylvania, born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 9, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph A. Porowski and Helen V. Porowski (Zieminski); and his brother Ed Porowski. He is survived by: his wife Judy (Barnes); his son Russell Porowski (Nancy) of Cherry Hill, NJ; his grandchildren, Ben, Hanna and Emma Porowski; his brother Don Porowski (Mary) of South Carolina; his sister-in-law Nancy Porowski of Hanover, PA; and his nieces, Courtney Kurtz of Lancaster, PA and Dawn McMaster of Hanover, PA..

In lieu of flowers, contributions made be made in Walt's memory to South Western School District Dollars for Scholars, C/O Jeff Mummert, 225 Bowman Road, Hanover, PA 17331.
