He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Stratton and Elma Stratton (Young). He is survived by: his wife Kathleen (Brush); his children, Jennifer (Daniel), Joshua (Amy), Megan (Matt) and Clayton (Ali); his grandchildren, Abigail Gross, Ethan Gross, Isaac Gross, Brianna Stratton, Josiana Stratton, Levi Stratton, Emily Garrison and McKenzie Garrison; and his sisters, Bernice (Keith) and Theresa (Percy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Richard's memory to The Chapel – Hanover Building Fund.

“I met Rich in 8th grade. We were The Reamers. A great group of kids who experienced a lot firsts (Boon's Farm, skipping class, our first cars, first jobs oh and beer) together. He was a great guy who had a kind heart and would help anyone who asked. We all knew that green Impala when it passed by. Those memories will always be there and for that I am grateful to have called him my friend. RLW”
