He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester E. Whipkey and Martha P. Bush Whipkey; his siblings, Patricia A. Gearhart and Dale E. Whipkey; and his nephew Joseph H. Gearhart.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth L. Whipkey (Losman) of Hanover; his brothers, Chester E. Whipkey II of Duquesne, Robert D. Whipkey (Mary) of Apollo and Thomas D. Whipkey of Three Springs; and his sister-in-law Joyce Whipkey of Duquesne. He is also survived by friends; and numerous nieces and nephews.
