He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Grote and Charlotte Dickhut Grote; and his sisters, Lee Ann Grote-Lardiere and Jennifer Grote. He is survived by: his wife Leslie Grote; his daughters, Alicia Witherspoon of Florida, Michelle Hook of New Jersey and Courtney Hook of Arkansas; and his stepchildren, Todd Stewart and Tori Gregg of Pennsylvania.
