He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Buddie Smith and Dorothy Smith (Sturgill) of Parkton, MD.; his spouse Robin Michele Smith (King); his children, Bryan David King of Hanover, Christyna Marie Smith and Stephanie Marie; his son-in-law Leonard Stiffler of Hanover; his grandchildren, Paige, Lydia, Destiny, Morgahn, Aliya, Isaiah and Jasmine; his sisters, Anita Joy Merryman of Upperco, MD and Madaline Penelope Tampsett of Parkton, MD.; and his son Damian Thomas Smith.
