He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell H. Zimmerman and Joyce J. Mann Zimmerman; and his wife Joyce E. Zimmerman. He is survived by: his son Ben Zimmerman (Carrie) of Stanley, VA; his grandsons, Ryan and Bradley Zimmerman; and his siblings, James Zimmerman (Barbara), Daniel Zimmerman (Lori), Thomas Zimmerman (Wendy), Cynthia Coppersmith (Richard), Marcia Plunkert (Kevin) and Andrea Green (Scott). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
