He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Pickett and Frances Pickett (Evans); his son Maurice Pickett, Jr.; his grandson Logan Pickett; and his sister Zada Scott.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia A. Pickett (Coe); his children, Joseph Pickett, Sr. of Taneytown, Juanita Pickett of Hanover and Michelle Durange of Littlestown; and his siblings, Faye Staub of Westminster and Joseph Pickett of South Carolina.
