She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence David Cool and Pauline Ethel Miller Cool; her husband Clyde L. Garrett; and her siblings, Viola Ingram, Norman E. Cool, Edward D. Cool, John L. Cool and Guy F. Cool.

She is survived by: her children, Dwight L. Garrett (Pamela) of McSherrystown and Deborah S. Shaffer (Rodney Bixler) of Hanover; and her grandchildren, Todd A. Garrett of Virginia Beach, VA, Nicole L. Mummert of Hanover, Amber T. Dubs of Hanover and Benjamin K. Shaffer of Hanover. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
