It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lurlene D. Shifflett of Hanover, Pennsylvania, born in Muncie, Indiana, who passed away on February 11, 2024, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Welford "Peanut" Shifflett; her parents, John Frank and Mildred Evelyn Goldberger (Mardis); her brother Dennis Richard Goldberger; and her half-sister Mary Lou Metzler Humphrey.
She is survived by: her daughters, Beverly Short, Kimberly Deatrick (Kenneth) and Trysta Shifflett; her grandchildren, Shay Shelby-Marie Kovalick, Nicholas Short (Stephanie Leigh Marcum) and Justin Hodges; her siblings, Sandra Stealey (James) and Michael John Goldberg Sr.; and her half-brother Daniel Metzler.
