She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Garland and Rosa E. Garland (Ellis); her husband Ralph Hughes; and her siblings, Eddie, Richard, Bill, Oliver, Robert, Roy Garland, Ruby Feathers, Sue Ella Johnson and Mae Fowler.

She is survived by: her children, Barbara Lee Ball (Jerry) of Hanover, PA and Jimmy Hughes (Betty) of Spring Grove, PA; and her sister Mary Hughes of Hampstead, MD.. She is also survived by five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter.
