He was predeceased by: his parents, L. Henry Hillard and Elizabeth Ludwig Hillard of Cambridge; and his brother Robert H. Hillard. He is survived by: his wife Kitty; his children, Debra Cromer (Scott) of Hanover and Dr. Jeffrey Lewis Hillard (Janet) of Timonium; his grandchildren, Erin Cromer, Matthew Cromer (Lauren), Kaitlynn Hillard Matera (Matthew) and Laura Hillard (Brian DeStephano); his great grandchild Hattie Cromer; and his brother Dr. Ray L. Hillard (Brenda).
