He was predeceased by: his wife Rose M. Basta; and his parents, Michael M. Basta and Anna Basta (Bellman). He is survived by: his children, Connie McNeil and John L. Basta, Jr.; his daughter-in-law Christina Palermo; his grandsons, Alex, Zack and Caden; and his great grandchild Carter.
