It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joan M. Staub of Hanover, Pennsylvania, born in McSherrystown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 29, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Small and Lucille Small (Crowther); and her siblings, Elizabeth Kuhn (Betty) and Robert Small. She is survived by: her husband William D. Staub; her children, Steven Lawrence (Cynthia) of Gettysburg, Michael Lawrence of Hanover, Sandra Lawrence of Hanover and Jane Alwood of Hanover; her stepchildren, Linda Smith (Greg) of Philadelphia, William Staub, Jr. of Allen, TX, Donald Staub of Ortanna, Julie Staub, Angela Kristabek of Aspers, Randy Staub (Nancy) of Hanover, Kimberly Clabaugh (Brad) of Bonneuville, Wendy McMaster (Troy) of Bonneuville and Deette Almony (Bryan) of Hanover; and her sister T. Elaine Smith of Hanover. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
Due to the recent outbreak of COVID, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held privately by the family at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Hanover. Interment will also be private at St. Vincent DePaul Cemetery.
