He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Groft and Ruth Groft (Sponseller); his former wife Lois E. Groft (Freeman); his son Brian E. Groft; and his brother Gervese Groft.
He is survived by: his wife Connie M. Groft (Luckabaugh); his children, Michael J. Groft (Sharon) of New Oxford, Jody M. Groft (Darrell Schaffner) of New Oxford, Melissa A. Groft (Johnnie Chadwick) of Hanover, Michelle L. Hoff (Ken) of Hanover, Kathy A. Long (AJ) of Hanover, Jennifer E. Long (Bob) of Hanover and Amanda M. Miller (Brian) of Hanover; his daughter-in-law Kathy L. Groft; and his siblings, Judy Bachman, Francis Groft, Jr., Patty Groft, Vivian Groft, Ruthie Groft, Mary Jean Groft, David Groft and Cathy Groft. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
