He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas J. Smith and Yvonne M. Smith (Davis); and his brother Jeffrey Smith. He is survived by: his wife Wanda (Nickol); his children, Jonathan N. Smith of Hanover and Tara E. Lansdown (James) of Culpepper, VA.; his grandchildren, Mitchell and Gianna Smith; and his sister Sharon Smith of Virginia.
