He was predeceased by: his parents, George T. Luers and Genevieve E. Luers; his brother William T. Luers of California; and his stepson Steven Haischer of Littlestown, PA.. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley "Sheri" Luers (Gilbert); his siblings, Elizabeth "Betty" Zaldivar (Ronald) of New Freedom, PA, Ann Reese of Hanover, PA and Joseph Luers (Susan) of Red Lion, PA.; his stepchildren, Katrina Sprague (Kevin), Victoria Schoberg (Christopher) and Andrew Haischer; his daughters, Karen Alexander (Craig) and Sharon Rhoton (Brian); and his grandchildren, Eric, Cheyenne, Savannah, David, Eliana and Anastasia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
