She was predeceased by: her spouse Joad L. Ballard, Sr.; her parents, Joseph C. Gelwicks and Pearl H. Gelwicks (Krenzer); her daughters, Daria Vier and Dawn Ballard; and her granddaughter Sara Ballard.
She is survived by: her children, Denese C. Fritz (Earl) of Hanover, Deborah M. Kunetz (Mark) of San Antonio, TX, Joad L. Ballard, Jr. (Katie) of Mascoutah, IL and Joseph M. Ballard of Frederick, MD; her grandchildren, Kristina, Nicole, Danielle, Kaitlin, Ryan, Melissa, Emma, Jonas and Jessica; and her great grandchildren, Kaden, Juniper, Esther, Riedar and Ruth. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and other family members.
