He is survived by: his wife Shirley L. Bortner (Rebert); his children, Gary L. Bortner, Earl E. Bortner, Jr., Barry L. Bortner, Timothy A. Bortner, Christine H. Noyes, Barbara A. Menges, Dwight B. Bortner, Gwendolyn F. Cottle, Teresa A. Bedtelyon, Travis B. Bortner, Kimberly K. Bankert, Gail J. Fesh, Troy K. Bortner and Arlis T. Bortner; and his siblings, Titus S. Bortner, Romaine Kulp and Dorcas Englehardt. He is also survived by 40 grandchildren, 69 great grandchildren.
