He was predeceased by: his parents, Scottie Cox and Blanche Cox. He is survived by: his wife Ann Cox; his children, David Cox (Tiffany) of Westminster, MD, Robin Fleming (Shannon) of Hanover, PA and Christopher Fritz (Kristie) of Silver Run, MD; his siblings, Sandra Small (Bob), Douglas Cox (Jean) and Donald Cox; and his grandchildren, Wyatt, Garrett Cox, Alicia Sztobryn, Katie Saldarriaga, Nathan, Gabriella and Grayson Fritz.

Memorial donations may be made in Dan's memory to either the Parkinson's Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131 or Bridging Life (formerly Carroll Hospice), 292 Stoner Avenue, Westminster, MD 21157.
