Charles Bankert Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Bankert of Hanover, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 23, 2021 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel N. Bankert and Mary S. Bankert (Jones); and his brother-in-law Bernard Garrett. He is survived by: his wife Verna (Nace); his children, Byron C. Bankert (Dawn) of Hanover, PA, Darryl Bankert (Sheri) of Spring Grove, PA, Brian S. Bankert (Kim) of Hanover, PA and Angela M. Fittery (Darvin) of Elizabethtown, PA; his grandchildren, Zach Bankert, Derek A. Bankert, Andrew Bankert, Katie R. Meckley (Bankert), Trever A. Bankert, Cameron T. Bankert and Isabella V. M. Fittery; his great grandchildren, Chelsey, Coltin and Dawson Bankert; and his sisters, Dolores E. Garrett of Hanover, PA., Darlene M. Bankert of Hanover, PA. and Sharon L. Crites (Jeffrey) of Hanover, PA.. He is also survived by his son's camps to hunt with his sons and grandsons.
A public viewing will be held from 9:30-11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Hanover First Church of God, 600 Fairview Drive, Hanover, PA, masks will be required, and social distancing observed. Due to COVID restrictions, funeral services to celebrate and remember Charles will be private, but will be live-streamed beginning at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at http://www.kenworthyfh.com.
