She was predeceased by: her mother Helen Hoyt Berry; her husband Kenneth Shute; her father John Berry; and her grandson Michael Sidor. She is survived by: her children, Douglas Shute of Front Royal, VA, Dr. Valerie Shute of Tallahassee, FL and Dr. Barbara Shute (Don Sidor) of Spring Grove, PA. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be sent to the Homewood at Plum Creek Benevolent Fund, 425 Westminster Ave., Hanover, PA 17331.
