He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Unger and Anna Unger Bishel; his wife Ellen Stevick Unger; and his brothers, Robert and Fred.
He is survived by: his children, G. Kevin Unger (Debbie), Joy Berringer (Scott), Jill Brent (Jim) and Heidi Serventi (Louis); and his grandchildren, Jason Unger (Joy), Jarrod Unger, Justin Briskin, Auberly Fisher (Austin), Garret Briskin, Ainsley Dillon (Brandon) and J. Paul Knapp. He is also survived by three great granddaughters.
