She is survived by: her children, Patricia Sundberg of Cresco, Michael McGonigal of Grand Rapids, MI and Daniel McGonigal (Alison) of Abingdon, MD.; and her significant other Harry Lewis of Stroudsburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial remembrances be made to the Lehigh Valley Hospice House - Pocono or Meals on Wheels of Monroe County, organizations that were dear to Val's heart and exemplified her spirit of giving.
