He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Bowman Blakinger; his parents, Leo Blakinger and Loretta Blakinger of Aurora; his siblings, Leo and Jean Blakinger Keil (late Barbara Bowman Blakinger); and his granddaughter Julia Rubadue.
He is survived by: his children, Chuck Blakinger (Mary) of Lititz, Dan (Cindy) of Lancaster, Betsy Rubadue (Joseph) of Wrightsville, John of Albany and Jean (late Matthew Zizik) of West Chester; his grandchildren, Kate, John, Keri, Andrew, Krista, Maria, Jamie, Michael, Grace, Carly, Dane, Kyle and Valerie; and his great grandchildren, Gabriel, Austin, Ellis, Dean, Evaline, Micah and Ariana.
