She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert D. and Mary E. Henderson (McGowan); her sister Lois Campbell; and her brother-in-law Howard Bitzer. She is survived by: her husband John H. Bitzer; her children, Kathryn L. Lombardo (Joseph) of Stroudsburg, David A. Bitzer (Jennifer) of Tannersville and Mark L. Bitzer (Mikki) of CranberryTownship; her grandchildren, Kelly Boorstein (Ryan), Jillian Zacheiss (John), Alexandria Bitzer, Samantha Bitzer, Shannon Bitzer and Kyle Bitzer; and her great grandchildren, Leah, Nicholas Boorstein, Eleanor and William Zacheiss. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Her community involvement included being a member of Beta Sigma Phi, Junior Womens Club of the Stroudsburgs, Church Women United, RSVP and Order of Eastern Star; past president and board member of Monroe County Meals on Wheels; volunteering with PATH (Pocono Area Transitional Housing) and Monroe County Public Library; and volunteering and making costumes for Quiet Valley Living Historical Farm.
