He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph F. McVaugh and Elizabeth T. McVaugh (Hogue); his daughter Shelli McVaugh; and his sisters, Patricia Pursel and Eileen Bricker.

He is survived by: his spouse Dyan L. McVaugh (Achenbach); and his pets, Onyx, Opal and Sapphire.
