With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Mengel of Hamburg, Pennsylvania, born in West Reading, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 3, 2023 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Ralph L. Mengel; her parents, Carl Fahnauer and Helen Fahnauer (Larkins); and her siblings, Carl, David Fahnauer, Marie Reiger (Fahnauer) and Dorothy Knowles (Fahnauer).
She is survived by: her children, Randall C. Mengel (Lori), Rachelle L. (Dean L. Shollenberger), Rafe C. Mengel (Mary Ann) and Windsor Twp; her grandchildren, Melissa Mengel, Nathan Mengel, Justin Mengel (Thomas Farmer), Amy (Jacob Garges), Austin Shollenberger (Laura), Marlee (Emil Vakar) and Rayna Mengel (Thomas DeVaney); and her great grandchildren, Tayler, Eva Garges, Eric, Grace Shollenberger, Reece, Hudson Mengel, Adela and Annabelle Vakar.
